Fall Kickoff: Donut Day!

Join us on Tuesday, August 30 at 6pm (JH) and Thursday, September 1 at 7pm (HS) for our Fall Kickoff: Donut Day!

We’ll eat some donuts, play some donut games, and talk about our call to hospitality in this Year of Mercy. Hope you can join us!

Adopting a Grandfather: a Reflection on World Youth Day

This is a deeper reflection I wrote on World Youth Day. It’s hosted on a cooperative blog I do with my friends called From Padua Hall. Hope you enjoy!

That’s a wrap, folks!

And thus a summer of fun draws to a close. We’ll take a week off to adjust back into the school routine; join us next week (JH: August 30 from 6-8pm and HS: Sept. 1 from 7-9pm) for our Fall Kickoff: Donut Day!

YM needs YOUR help!!

The new Fall semester is here! Check out our upcoming events, and download a printable flyer to share with a friend… but most importantly, ask yourself this question:

How can I be more merciful?

There are a few ways you can support Youth Ministry in this Year of Mercy:

…Feed the hungry teenagers of our parish, and support the Empty Bowl Project.

  • Feed the Hungry! Feed hungry teenagers during a Youth Night! We need 12 people to provide a meal or snack.

Shelter the homeless… support our teens on retreat, and learn about Habitat for Humanity.

  • Shelter the Homeless. Spend a night chaperoning teens on one of our retreats. We need 2 men and 2 women volunteers for each retreat.

Share your faith experiences with the next generation.

  • Share experiences. Share faith with high school students in a small group setting during our Mercy Series or during the Fall High School Retreat.

Volunteer during a Work of Mercy night featuring one of the Corporal Works of Mercy.

  • Come work with us! All parishioners are invited to join us in service during any Work of Mercy night!

Here’s how to get involved:

  1. Contact Anna directly and let her know how you’d like to help.
  2. Sign up to volunteer on the Youth Ministry bulletin board at church.
  3. Need more specifics? Download the complete volunteer listing.
